School vacation is over, and the kids are back in school today! To celebrate, I've been very industrious, and I'm working on all the things I put off while the kids were home. I just finished putting the second coat of stain on chair #2, for instance. Chair #1 has been completed for at least a couple of weeks now, while chair #2 has, instead, graced the center of the kitchen floor. We are now ready (once the stain dries, anyway) to begin with the several coats of polyurethane necessary before it can join the other chairs at the dining room table. That should only take another week (or three, knowing the speed at which I work).

Yesterday we went out to the movies! We tried a new place, Chunky's, in Haverhill, MA. It's kind of like a movie theater, only besides popcorn and soda, they serve food - like burgers, nachos, stuff like that. And instead of movie theater seats, you have these enormous seats taken from cars - like the passenger seat of an old Cadillac or something. They were extremely comfortable! Outside of the fact that we spent enough money for next week's groceries, we had a lot of fun. It's a good thing we don't get out to the movies very often. Oh, btw, we saw "The Pacifier". I thought the movie was a lot of fun, but it wasn't quite dark enough in Chunky's - I guess the waitresses still have to be able to see enough to deliver food.
