I had my bonsai class today! I had a good time, and learned a lot! This is what I came home with:



It's a Chinese Elm, and I had a very good time making this little tree out of the little bush in a nursery pot, which was how it started out. It's fascinating to trim away a bit at a time and find the "tree within." When I was done trimming, I moved it from the plastic nursery pot to the bonsai container. At that point I "discovered" those roots, and decided to leave them exposed. I think it looks great, and I love my little tree!
