Just for fun, here's some Virtual Bubblewrap!

No pictures this time, but still news to report.

First, recent acquisitions. I received a box on Thursday from The Bellwether. I got three new spindles! A Tabachek mini, a Full Circle (one of my all-time favorite kinds of spindles!), and a Glenn Grace - gorgeous, extremely smooth workmanship! I also got two of her samplers - a rare-breeds wool one, and a cotton one (like I need more cotton in this lifetime!)

Today, the package was from Grafton Fibers, and contained an Alpaca Mouton de Mois, and a Banksia Pod Swan! Can't wait to try these out!

I wanted to go to the VT Sheep and Wool Festival, but wasn't willing to drive three hours each way. Instead DH and I took the kids to both the American Textile History Museum (which has working power looms, an awesome gift shop, and over 300 spinning wheels on display!) and the Boott Cotton Mill Museum, both in Lowell, Mass. I'm going to have to go back to the Boott Cotton Mill Museum sometime - their gift shop looked as interesting as the one at the ATHM, but we didn't get to spend any time in it! We also didn't find the New England Quilt Museum yet, which is near both places we visited today, but by then the kids were just plain getting tired.
